Workshops, Master Classes, Trainings, and Residencies
A fresh look at Social Justice and Racial Equity Training in and out of Maine. The work needed to be done is not about being comfortable in your choices, but about being bold and honest in your ignorance and blind spots. Immediately to be followed by connecting, working intimately with, and correcting practices using the resources in that community to change future outcomes.
Embodied Equity delivers programs that immerse, engage, and empower students, schools, institutions, boards, and communities. Storytelling is an incredible way for everyone to learn important skills like creativity, collaboration, communication, literacy and more! Our professional artists help develop children and adults with an interest in social justice and activist art making throughout Maine.
Our workshops, masterclasses, trainings, and residencies are hands-on learning experiences that change lives and where participation is encouraged and essential for learning.
We bring you professional Teaching Artists into your classroom, your home, your center, your organization to use the performing arts as a medium to expand your communities learning capacity, along with improving social and behavioral skills. Most residencies can be customized to your curriculum needs and tailored to fit the necessary time table for your program.
Our approach is developmentally age-appropriate and classes are taught by local Professionals. Classes are typically broken into specific age/grade levels, for most classes. Home school/home zoom sessions are able to be more flexible with intergenerational learning sessions.
Can people make a difference in achieving social, political, and economic change in Maine? Embodied Equity is testing that theory in large numbers across the state with an intergenerational audience.
